    Nutri SeaWater

I have a question regarding water. If I wanted to setup a reef tank, could I use Nutri SeaWater or similar water with the good bacteria in order to help me cycle the tank faster? Or there is too much danger to bring in something bad alive into my tank?

Buy a gallon and rub it into your head and chest and see what happens. While you are waiting for the results, purchase a RO/DI filter from the "Filter Guys" or "Bulk Reef Supply" or the vendor of your choice. Then buy a good quality salt mix like IO Reef Crystals or Tropic Marin Reef Pro and start your tank that way.

My point is that stuff sounds like snake oil and is a waste of money.

But if you grow a full head of hair, let us know!!!!

If that stuff grows hair, I'll buy stock in it!

Seriously though... The beneficial bacteria found in marine tanks is everywhere and it's free. You just have to provide the right environment for it to colonize. All those potions that claim to speed up the cycle are about as useful as an ice maker in a blizzard, IMO. Nothing but good ole patience and tons of research will get you through the cycle.
It's gonna take however long it takes and there's not much you can do to speed it up. Just remember, anytime you come across some "revolutionary" way to medicate, cycle, or otherwise maintain a marine tank, ALL of the most experienced aquariast's would be using it in a heartbeat. It would make headlines. Save yourself some trouble and cash and stick with what works ( until the next real revolutionary method does make headlines).
Good, quality source water and a respectable synthetic salt will do just fine. NSW is an option too, but I'm not brave enough to use it.
