ok so my tank is doing a bit better now still the water parameters arent perfect yet but nitrite test was down to just above 0 as are amonia. my calcium is still sky high lol kinda fustrating my alkalinity is still lower then it should be . ph has been a stable 8.2-8.3 for about a month. my phosphoros levels are geting alot lower,

today my lfs suprised me with what he said kinda shocking part of it " dont do so many tests and corect everything at once" he says just test amonia ph nitrite nitrate while i agree with him partly that doing to much at once is bad ,it scares me to think someone would say to not test when something is not in control ( calcium and alkalinity and phosphoros).
i have just been doing water changes about 1/3rd with ro water i am gonna use reef crystals i think its made by instant ocean on my next water change. the lfs said to stop adding the buffer powder, shouldnt i keep adding it to raise the alkalinity ?

no corals have died or fish but im missing my cleaner shrimp and im thinking my eel is the culprit. the eel is still smallish so i was wondering is a 20 or 30 xh good for the 1 snowflake eel if i can catch him

i am haveing 1 issue though i have a red slime alagee slowly creeping onto a few spots on like 2 rocks i normaly combat it with red sea slime remover but it seems to just grow back 1-3 months later any sugestions.

also may be a stupid question but how much do you feed your fish and how often i feed 2 times a day frozen food myside, reef plankton, emeral entree, brine shrimp and krill or silversides ( i chop the krill with a razorblade
