Reef Tank what kind of filter to use?

I have 75 gallon tank, & I plan on making into a reef tank, with live rock & live sand.


I orgianally asked what type of filter should I get but no one answer....

SO out of all the threads & website I've read it seem all you need for filtration for a reef tank; and if I'm wrong let me know, all you need is a sump, with refugium and protien skimmer?

I can not get a sump to fit under my stand, I picked a very pretty stand (didn't realize till I got it home and started looking for sump) it wasn't a pratical stand for a sump to fit in it. Since I can't get sump, and I've read canister filter are ok but not the best next to a protien skimmer & refugium.

I found a refugium with a built in protien skimmer, that will hang on the back of the tank that fits. I bought one for a 100 gallon tank since mine 75 gallon I think it will do more then needed. I'm going to fill the tank up today setup with a refugium & protien skimmer only for filtration, if anyone thinks I need something more for filteration let me know?
