Is this possible? Came home today and noticed the hammer coral "happier" than ever and my two ocellaris clownfish swimming next to it / playing in it.

very common for a clown to use a hammer, or other corals when a anemone is not available. Sometimes the clown will agitate the corals, and they don't fully open, but other then that....no worries.
I have had them hide in open brain corals, mushroom and leather corals, as well as hammer and octopus.
I swim with them, eat them, catch them, care for them, but never get tired of "them"....
