I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that you hurt it just yet. Xenia is a coral that is like the canary in the coal mine. It is usually the first to react to changes in water quality, and/or chemistry be those changes good or bad.
How much time has elapsed since the change? How big is your tank? How long have you had the Xenia? How often do you do water changes, and how much do you usually do? Have you done water changes before with this Xenia, and how did it react then?
Did you match temperature, and what was it? What was the salinity & PH in the tank just prior to the change? What were they with th change water after you mixed it? What kind of water did you use? How long did the change water sit for after you mixed it?
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
