From what you listed, everything's looking good to me. Magnesium could be a bit higher with a DKH of 10...refer to the attached balance chart. You can't beat zeros for nitrates and phosphates though. What makes you say your wq needs help?

    Calcium - - - Alkalinity - - - - Magnesium
    - (ppm) - - - dKH - meq/l - - - (ppm)
    410 - - - - - - 7.0 - - 2.50 - - - - 1300
    414 - - - - - - 7.5 - - 2.67 - - - - 1300
    417 - - - - - - 8.0 - - 2.35 - - - - 1350
    421 - - - - - - 8.5 - - 3.03 - - - - 1350
    425 - - - - - - 9.0 - - 3.21 - - - - 1350
    428 - - - - - - 9.5 - - 3.39 - - - - 1375
    432 - - - - - -10.0 - -3.57 - - - - 1375
    435 - - - - - -10.5 - -3.75 - - - - 1400
    439 - - - - - -11.0 - -3.92 - - - - 1400

Mom and baby are both doing good. The little guy has colic just like his sister did, but other than that doing a great job
of eating sleeping and pooping, lol.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

Well it just the I feel the mag alk ca kh are all over the place. In my small tank may be harder to keep at the same level, leading to the problem to grow coral. I feel the sooner I can get them to level out the better
Good to hear all is well at home poop is a good thing.

    Re: just a up date

{No, your shrimp does NOT like it. Your shrimp does NOT need EXTRA iodine. In fact, excess iodine is toxic to your shrimp. It gets rid of this toxic iodine by depositing it in its exoskeleton and then molting. Excess iodine leads to premature molting.

    Nothing in your aquarium needs iodine (or strontium) at concentrations in excess of natural seawater levels. In fact, both iodine and strontium are TOXIC at elevated levels. Excess strontium results in retarded growth in corals by interferring with calcium deposition. Excess strontium in humans leads to deformed bones for exactly the same reasons. }

I found this in a post is this true about IODINE?

Well I have read that you don't want to dose these things higher than NSW, but I confess I don't really know why that is specifically.
