One of my all time favorite build threads on RC. He calls this the "Master's Tank" as there are several different areas aquascaped in tribute to to some of his favorite reef builders. It's the most entertaining thread I've ever read, and it is epic.

It's worth noting that the guy is filthy rich and there was apparently no limitation on budget. The fact that he chose Orphek over Profilux or something like that means to me that he simply considered them to be a better product for his application. Reliability and ease of replacement/repair was probably a higher priority than a slickly crafted housing and a bunch of bells and whistles.

That said, I don't know jack about Orphek, but you sure seem to be singing their praises on high. Perhaps I'm wrong, and if I am I apologize, but it makes me suspicious as to your motives, know what I mean?

call me an ahole or whatever but other than being a big tank, its really not all that....yeah, there are some cool fish and corals but nothing more than ive seen in many other tanks here. i dont know....im not too impressed. now if you want to talk badass, check out david saxby's tank or......mine...lol

You might take a minute and check out the build thread from nineball on RC. It's a pretty epic build and he is a very modest guy. Most of his ideas and guidance have come from RC. He has included all posters and lurkers.... His tank room and quarantine system, mangrove wall and designs are all top notch.

No offense, your tank is VERY nice....much better than mine and your daughter is a cutie...but I shared this link as a way to offer the build thread to others out there who may not have known about it....
