About LinkBacksIs it safe to put a Randall's pistol shrimp with a bluestripe pipefish? I had a small pipe that was killed when the shooting claw of a large pistol snapped shut on it. Also, anyone have a spare Randall's pistol?

So you think the killing of the pipe was a 1-in-10000 thing (I.E. an accident on the part of the shrimp?) hope so, I really like pistols & pipes.

A Randall's pistol Shrimp is quite small and would not be possible to harm a pipefish. They are about 1/2" maximum.

Do you know where a Texan can get one? Also, can 2 live in a burrow previously dug by a 2" pistol?

They are quite common and should be available at your local fish store (LFS). They will take advantage of any features that will help establish a burrow.
