    Help with an ID?? Please?

Hey friends, its been a while! Hope all is well with everyone and their tanks! I was wondering if you all could help ID this new feller that has arrived on my Zoa colony. The thing with the little white looking dots on it, the pictures not the best I guess, but I think you can get a good look...anyways it looks kind of cool, but if it is harmful then I want no part of it!Thank you in advance for any help!!

Def an anemone, but not sure if it is a pest or not.

I would get rid of it. It will sting your Zoas, will multiply quickly also. But, some like the looks of them. Its not a Glass Nem, its on the lines of Mojano Nem. Pseudocorynactisfiji Anemone

Good to know, however, how do I get rid of it?? I do like how it looks, but not at the cost of hurting my Zoa's....

It has a foot like the bigger Nems, you just have to coax it off the rock its on. Lil flat heat screw driver. Or massage it off if you can get at it. But, you don't want to tear it off or that will add to your colony.

Hmmm....that is going to be a little tough I think...Its in a real tricky spot to get to with anything like a little flathead or anything....any other tips?? Ive also read that they can be harmless too...

I've seen it both ways. I have a few in the tank, and the corals near them that get touched get stung and don't like it much. I haven't taken mine out either. When I had my Copper Band he ate em all for me, but he's no longer with me. you can leave it and see if your Zoas get pestered by it, before unsettling the tank to get it out. Won't hurt to find out, its not going to get very big at all, and would only bum out the ones able to touch it.

I usually fill a syringe with a little lemon juice and inject it into the mouth of the beast. Good luck.
