One probe tests the incoming water, and another probe tests the water coming out.
Let's you know how bad your tap water is, and how good of a job the filter is doing. You want a TDS of zero. When the output water starts getting higher than that, time to change the filters and membrane.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

    Re: Dual TDS meters

    Hello,
I run one on my water leaving the RO membrane and the other one after the DI cartridge that way I know when to change the RO before it ruins the DI and when to just change the DI.

I really like that idea! I get tired of seeing the same old tap water TDS numbers. And I have 2 DI canisters so it could get pricey to waste them away with an old RO membrane. Thanks for the tip!

Now that seems like a much better use for the second probe!
