    aneomes

    my bubble tip has split into 2 is this normal or is it going to die ? have never seen one do that

    Which species is it? They can all split as a result of stress (a survival mechanism) or conversely, because they are well fed. How often do you feed, and how much?

    The rose colored ones can multiply especially quickly, to the point of quickly dominating a tank. I would be very conservative with feeding rose BTA's, unless you want a species only tank, or if you want to breed them.

    He split for one of 2 reasons. 1- he is stressed to the max. 2- he's reproducing. Easy way to answer this is, how long have you had it? Is it in a relatively new tank?

    he is a green tip and i had it in my 125 for about 4 weeks then sold the tank and moved everything to a 29 g bio cube they been inthere for 2 weeks and it just did this 2 days ago woke up it was fine went out side and did some yard work and came in and was split i feed it about every 3 or 4 days

    Sounds like the cause in this case is stress due to the move.
    I think the best thing you can do for them at this point is to leave them alone till they find spots they like.
