    Heat Wave Affecting Your Tank?

In the middle of this ginormous heat wave, I was wondering how everyone's reef tanks were doing. Hit 100 degrees here on Long Island today and the reef stayed at a constant temp of 80 degrees. Just for fun, lets see how we are all faring.

    I'll start:

    - Location: Long Island
    - Outside Temp: 100 degrees
    - Reef Temp: 80 degrees
    - Chiller: no
    - Other: Fans/AC

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

    - Location: Gilroy, CA- Outside Temp: 95 degrees- Reef Temp: 80.5 degrees- Chiller: no- Other: 2 CPU case fans installed in the canopy. Central air set to 77. Windows get opened when it's cooler to get some more oxygen in the house.Lots of evaporation. Probably 1.5-2 gallons a day.
