    getting serious

    well starting to get serious about reefing an have invested in 2 acan frags, frogspawn, 2 heads of candy cane coral some metallic green star polyps an fury green monti but it was a freebie an getting some more zoas from acanlover next week already got the wammin watermelons from him am they are doing very well already see new polyps forming......well tell me what u think of my selection

    Nice! You may have found this out already, but of everything you listed, the GSP is most likely to be the barometer of water quality...I know mine is.
    If it doesn't extend, or only partially extends, something is probably amiss with WC.
    Only advice I'd give is to stay away from leather corals as there can be a weird occasional chemical warfare battles between them and SPS/LPS corals. Not that mixing can't be done, but it's just one more thing to have to worry about and occasionally deal with.

    I agree with fin. If you are gonna go with leathers make sure you have a good skimmer. I've had a leather since it was a nun and is now the size of a dinner plate and I've seen some corals get real ticked as it grew closer to them.
    Nice choices on corals though. Acans along with chalices can become rather addicting. If you get any chalices b sure to give them space. I have one that throws out 6" sweepers at night and almost wiped out a few favorites

    thanks for the advice on the leathers yeah an that is one of the resons i got the gsp iread where they wont open up good if u have an issue an i like that their like a little water test kit growing in the tank lol will post pics when i get all corals in tank
