    Aiptasia.. UUGGHH

So I'm on week 5, I've already removed 3 majano anenomes..and now have 2 Aiptasia. I will NEVER buy live rock again. From here on out, I'm going base rock and will just wait patiently for my tank to mature. I've bought 2 pieces of live rock, both from different stores. Both times Ive recieved unwanted hitch hikers. (I assume this is common)

I'm battling aiptasia, green hair algae, cyano, and some kind of new algae that just started to appear...I've hardly made it thru the cycle.
Today was my introductory of the clean up crew. 2 turbo snails, 6 blue leg crabs, and a sally light foot. I'll buy more soon, but this is all my lfs had to offer.
BTW, Thanks for letting me vent and I'll get some Joe's Juice tomorrow or asap.

Yep, almost everybody deals with it sometime. Even if you get nice clean rock, they can hitch their way in on corals/frags too.

The other algae battles are normal for a new tank, so don't sweat it.

BTW, you might want to rethink the Sally lightfoot. They can get really big and destructive.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

LOL. Yea it does happen, but you have to get some Live Rock to seed your Base Rock. Yea, ditch the Sally and get an Emerald Crab.

I know, not much difference in the size, but a 1/2" is a big diffence between these 2. And the Emerald will not go wreakin everything.

Just use a syringe and lemon juice on the aiptasia. I do this and they literally melt away. It's very simple. Just make sure you don't go crazy with the lemon juice and spike your PH. A little goes a long way.

I have also heard liquid calcium will work. So basically if you dose calc in 2-part supplements the calc supplement may work. Let me know if you try that route.
