    need help with nitrate reactor

    hello everyone, ive been in the hobby on and off for 15 yrs., but I know nothing about nitrate reactors....all my tanks have always had nitrates at about 20 ppm, if someone could give me a quick rundown on how they work, and what I would need to purchase, corals always do very well in my tanks except sps any help would be gratefully appreciated!!!!

    I wraped my small tubing around the outside of the PVC, as this is quite easier than trying to stuff it all in that stupid tube. Anyway, wrap the tubing with electrical tape after, so that no sun light enters. These babies are hard to keep going, as they will get clogged up. A better one is the Sulfer Denitrator.
    I prefer to carbon dose:

They work buy, growing bacteria in the small outter tubing that eat O2, then when the water gets into the big pvc section, you have no O2 and grow bacteria that eat the trates for fuel.
