    Best way to Upgrade tank?

So at the current moment I'm in a condo and have a 50 Gallon Hex tank.

    I have the following fish

    2 Paired Osc. Clowns
    1 Coral Beauty
    1 Brown Tang
    1 Clown Goby
    1 Watchman Goby
    4 Bubble Tips
    1 Long Tentacle
    1 Cleaner Shrimp
Hermits, Emerald Crabs, Asteria and Turbo snails
1 Brittle Star I Think was a hitch hiker from my live rock i only see tentacles when I go to feed my anemones.
1 Feather duster another hitch hiker
Some Polyps and a few mushrooms

Well in a year give a take a few months. I'm purchasing a house and planning on upgrading to a 210 with a refugium. Not sure of the exact size of both the tank and refugium yet I just know bigger than 125.

My question is what would be the best way to go from a 50 Gallon tank to a tank that size with adding more live rock and making sure I don't lose anything.

I do have a 50 gallon per day RO/DI unit.

I'm asking now because I want to plan everything now since I'm starting to collect items for the bigger tank now.

Cure your Live Rock ahead of time, this will keep your tank from going into a cycle when you add it. You could do the same thing with the Live Sand, or any of the substrate your going to use. Get a couple 45g tubs from Walmart or such, throw in a heater and powerhead for water movement, cure it, then you can jsut throw it inthe new tank. You'll need a couple 55g barrels full of RO/DI if your planning a tank that big, have that mixed up at least 24hrs before your planned move. Anything else?

This is how I did it:1. Cycle the new tank2. Catch all catchable critters3. Add your critters, your original rock, and most of your old water to the new tank4. Buy lots of coral to fill empty spaces5. Sell the old tank to help pay your credit card bills
I really hate it when people say "it's only a $3/$5/$1 fish/shrimp, so it's ok if it dies" TREAT ALL ANIMALS LIKE THEY COST $10,000!!!!!!http://dragcave.net/image/QnMBQ.gifhttp://dragcave.net/image/DCQDb.gifhttp://dragcave.net/image/8qT9W.gifhttp://dragcave.net/image/CP52M.gifhttp://dragcave.net/image/P7mZ4.gifplease click a link, it's nothing bad.

Thats basically how i plan to do it too. I have seen conflicting reports on the amount of water to use from very little to all. I am going to be upgrading from a 29 to a 90 so let me know what you think too.

The bacteria grows in the rock and the substrate, not the water.

Thanks. That was my point. What is the use of using all of the water, some of the water or none of the water at all from an established tank. In my opinion, it just saves the hobbyist money and time.
