Okay so I am a saltwater beginner and am loosing fish. So one day white spots show up on my orange shoulder tang. The fish store sold me a cleaner shrimp and a cleaner wrasse. I did some research and found this is not going to help. I did some research and set up a hospital tank but by the time I got it set up I lost my orange shoulder. I noticed my sail fin was looking spotty. I got the tank set up and caught everyone and acclimated them to the hospital tank. I am using the method of low salinity.
So today I lost one of my clown fish and a coral beauty angel. I have the temp at 78 degrees and the salinity at 1.010 on the hydrometer. This is what I have read to do. Is my salt too low? could it just have been stress or not a good enough acclimation? I moved them Sunday Morning. My tang looks better and the other clownfish, wrasse, and gobi seem to be okay.
I just want to check and make sure I am doing this correctly. I have the reef tank still set up and going with no fish now in the other room. I figure I should leave it for 4weeks? Any info is much appreciated.
