I like reeflalnd and especially some of the moderators/experts who contribute their time here. But I wonder how many visitors here know what an invertebrate is. I mean, there are sections for posting different questions. Yet posters put invertebrate questions in the Fish-Only Forums. My question is retorical in the hopes to educate some of the posters. An invertebrate is a living organism that doesn't have what we might call a spinal column or back bone. No vertebrae. In the ocean those that have vertebrae include the fishes and mammals. Posts involving invertebrates belong here, so say the forum descriptions. Invertebrates include: corals snails, slugs, etc. shrimp crabs worms anemones (and their relatives from hydras to xenias) sea fans sponges star 'fish' urchins About the only micro life I see discussed in all forums are those like bacteria and parasites. In multi-forums I see discussed clean-up crews, which correctly belongs to multiple forums. Thought I'd just mention this. . .![]()
