Soft and stony coral.. im stuck

i have stony and soft coral. I turn on both of my 1400gph powerheads and my 1200gph(i think) return pump, and the stony corals love it.. but the soft corals hate it. also, when the powerheads are on, they are soo direct (hydor's) that fish don't really enjoy it, and polyps on the sps and soft get blown really hard. are there alternatives to powerheads? im thinking about only using a wavebox only plus the return pump but idk if waveboxes give enough flow.

    Hello,
The Evolution series of Hydor pumps can be run on a wave-maker. This will give a more natural on/off motion that both hard and soft corals can appreciate. Wave boxes depending on the brand can provide enough motion to break the tank if not set up correctly. The good ones are quite expensive (IMO). A $40-$50 wave power strip would be cost effective in your case since you already own the Hydor pumps.
