Starting the RO and My Approach to Aquascape Building

I am starting my RO system today in anticipation of actually putting water in this tank next weekend. I thought it was time to define an approach to building the aquascape. I have decided on a 2 island plan with plenty of open space. I think I will dry build this on the kitchen table first and then when satisfied epoxy sections of these together kind of like a modular thing. I am going to epoxy 3/4 inch PVC feet to the bottom of these to suspend them above the DT floor by about 2 inches. The substrate should hide the feet and I can place some rock frags in front if more hiding is needed. Then the live rock will be dry stacked on these. In my mind I see this as being pretty stable.

What are your opinions of this approach?

Just make sure you like it before you start glueing. Its not gonna be easy to re-do once you have it all secured together. I move mine around to much to glue, but man I have thought about it several times.

didnt glue mine together and glad i didnt as when i filled the tank up i didnt like it so rebuild in the water
