    Sea Shells in Reef Tank

Happy New Year to everyone! I have a quick question. On a recent trip to FL, we collected many sea shells from the beach (Sanibel Is is the best for shells!). Are they okay to add to my reef tank? Do I have to do any prep to them, outside of washing in RO water, prior to putting them in the tank?

Thanks for any and all replys,

I'd say if you don't want any goofy hitchhickers on them, I'd boil them, then your safe.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'll go with the boiling route this weekend and toss them in.
