Weird stuff coming out of brown polyp

I was noticing today that one of my brown polyps was closed and in the middle of it was this weird white/pink wrinkled glob in the middle of it. I recently had an aiptasia in between the colony but I got rid of it after 3 days of it being in there. All my levels are perfect except for a very small amount on nitrates about 5ppm. I took a picture with my phone but it's not the best quality.

Hello,
It is either some food item the coral has captured, waste being released, or zooxanthellae being released. All of the previous are normal activities for this coral and do not indicate something is wrong.

Most dn't realize these things will grab anything floating by, they really are quite cool. Take a lil piece of Mysis Shrimp and stick it in the middle of one of them gently, watch what it does.

Thanks guys! I realized that I feed my lithopyllon mysis shrimp so I decided to see what other corals would take mysis shrimp and basically all my other corals eat it even my corky finger gorgonian
