Lightbulb Fuge ? s and CUCs

Time to start thinking of the refugium stock and lighting. First the light. I have the curly day light bulb over my small fuge. I will run it late at night after the tank lights are out but what photo period? Is 5-6 hrs enoeph for Chaeto and Ulva? The ulva is being mixed in to provide a food source for a later 2 spot or Potters Tang.

Are these 2 macros a good choice for the fuge?

Do you prefer CUCs with or without hermits? Is adding a brittle star to the CUC a good idea?

you planning on putting your CUC in the Fuge? I wouldn't put them in there. Your lighting should work for there also, photo period is usually when the DT lights are off, 8-10 hours. Chaeto is good stuff, but I've not read up on nor heard of Ulva.

No no. The CUC will go in DT. Seperate question mostly about with or without crabs.

Ulva is also known as sea lettuce and a favorite food of many herbivores.

I'd stay away from crabs. If you run out of food in the tank they will pick on the corals. But you can always suppliment for them, sinking pellets and algae sheets, but sometimes the fish grab em. They are kinda touchy. But you'll get it both ways, where some never have issues, and some have issues. I have Emerald Crabs, no issues.
