It could be because of many things like lack of calcium and iodine. Also maybe it's getting overexposure to light. All these things are important for coralline to grow.

New tank. The rock will have die of, and will whiten up, but dont fret. The rock will come back all colorful in the right conditions. How long has the tank been set up? What are your water readings?

I have had the tank for a few years but about a month ago I took out my crushed coral and added live sand and basically started over. My readings are; Salinity: 1.025 PH: 8.43 Nitrite: .1 Nitrate: .2 and total ammonia: .01. I hope these are what your talking about haha. Thanks again.

It will be ok, should all grow back. Just shocked the system, no worries.

Now thats impossible to say. Your water parameters have to get back to normal, then it will take off again as it did when you first got it.
