Why do I feel better about my stocking list for a 90g when I read a stocking list for a 40g (head scratching emoticon / frown face / beating myself up)

hahaha, i would, but just got a nice diatom bloom from the new sand im assuming (recently moved everything from the 29 [everything was the same, minus dead rock and maxijet 1200] , except the leopard wrasse, shes new, and incredibly beautiful i might add). Im also thinking about selling the MH fixture and going with a reefkoi LED fixture or two ECOXOTIC par38s. what do you guys think?

I have done enough research on Ecoxotic products that I bet would qualify me to be a salesman Let me know if you need a hand. I run Panorama Pros on my tank.

    Re: 40 gallon set up

do you know much about LEDs in general? i have a friend with connections that can supply me with what he calls "reefkoi" led fixtures for $250. He says since they're wholesale, they don't really have a brand. Also says they're equal to a 250 mh. do you have any idea what he might be talking about?

-Also, whats so bad about my stock? 7 small reef fish that don't need much swimming space with adequate skimming/nutrient export in a 40 breeder doesnt sound so bad to me

No clue. I paid $900 and change for mine. Basically, put it this way - if you buy crap you are going to get crap results. A reall good fixture - like the new Ecoxotic one, the Radion unit by Ecotech Marine or some of the Cree LED modules are up there in price. Simply stating, they're not knock offs. I would not buy knock offs for my tank, but I have a feeling I am not in the same financial situation as most, and realize the subsequent costs.

    Re: 40 gallon set up

Just a talk with one guy. Said incredible light. Now from what I know of LED's, those are 3w LED's, thats alot of light. But if they had individual focus lenses on them, they would be totally incredible! Thats the only thing I can see wrong with them, other than that, looks like a hellofa light to me.
