    Re: FLUKES

Possibly flukes. The term 'Fluke' is usually to describe infestations of creatures smaller than fish lice or anchor worm. Fish infested with the flukes look pale and hav droopy fins. If the gills are infested there is rapid respiration, irritation and wasting. It mainly occurs in the coldwater fish. Tropical fish are, however, infested from time to time. Look for greish minute worms on the gills or skin.

Treatment is best achieved with potassium permanganate baths as for the treatment of fish lice. Otherwise, formalin may be used as a bath, but not in the tank. A forty-five minute bath in 0.2 millilitres of 40% formalin solution per litre of water.

Marine fish. Parasitic infestations occur similar to those observed in freshwater fish. Treatment is a formalin bath as described for freshwater flukes, but the bath must be of seawater.

I don't know, I can't take pictures very well either, I use a phone camera though. Got a digital camera?
