    Thinking of breeding clowns again

    Hi Guys, a stupid question....

I have an established tank with fish and corals. I am planning to breed clownfish again. This time a black osc with a true prec. my question is

I am planning to set up a separate tank with no substrate (one live rock) and a tank top filter n light.. initially I am planning to use my existing tank's water for the new one. but will use freshly prepared saltwater while changing water/cleaning. This way, I hope i dont have to wait for my cycling.. correct me if I am wrong.

and advice me for the setup. I live in Japan so the regular US size tanks are not possible. The best I can do is buy a 60x30x45 tank for this one.

    Cheers

Nice size tank. Water inyour established tank will not cycle your new tank, Live Rock and or the substrate carry all the bacteria needed for the cycling process. Use more Live Rock from your tank if you don't want a cycle.
