    Question Please check out these numbers!

    I finally figured out the red sea test kit with the help of some vids from red sea that someone here told me about. Do these make sense to you?

    Kh, 11.5 Mg 1400, Ca 380.

    Calcium, KH, GH, pH, Electrolytes & Magnesium in Aquariums; Mineral Ions, Cations
    Just a good source for what your testing for.
    Calcium should be 420-480
    Alk 9-12
    Mag 1200-1400

    I am retesting calcium based on the read above. If it really is below 420 I am tripping to the LFS for a Ca supplement. The supplement I have is a all in one product and with magnesium at 1400, I see no use in dosing the all in one at this point. Does this sound correct?

    Retested Ca. reading now 425. What I learned is pretty simple. Wash your test vials and syringes with the water being tested to avoid contamination from tap water or dilution from pure RO water. The swing from 380 to 425 is significant and I can only explain it by my not adhereing to the above procedure. These Red Sea tests are sensitive!
