With new lights will I have an alge out break?

ummm will I? Should I get a few more snails? I have 6 in my 29g tank right now and they do a decent job of cleaning(I should probably get about 5 more)

I'm thinking of getting 10 more? I'm upgrading by 70watts if it makes a differance

There is a good chance you will some sort of algea increase with increassed light intensity. How much light where you running before the upgrade? If your going from 30 to 100 watts yes you will be have much more algea and more snails will help.

i dont think you should have too much of a problem. i just upgraded to another 400 mh. that makes two. i had a minor outbreak. lasted a couple of days.

I think I'll have an alger outbreak, because its very low lights to high(to me anyways) 1 20watts NO to 2 55watss pcs

My guess would be yes, but a minor one.

I switched from Normal Output lighting to 2 - 175watt halides and had a mad breakout of green hair and cyano. My lawnmower blennie took care of the hair, but the cyano is still subsiding.
