I'm in Florida right now and have a few small mangroves that I want to bring back. Does anyone have information on how to care for these? What's the best way to set them up in your tank? Do they need a lot of light?

Biglar,
Did you get them from the wild or did you buy them from a store here in FL? Duncan. ------------------ Please tread lightly on the reefs of the world. Visit my world at http://duncansrealm.homestead.com |

How I use them in sumps:
Med amount of light (5 watts gal min.) One mangrove for every 10 gals of system. Sandy (like south down) or actual dirt substrate. They do not like CC or larger substrates. High water flow. Room and water temp should not drop much under 75F (or they can hibernate), although they seem to grow best if you can keep them around 80-85F. ------------------ Mark Play Well |
