LPS is receding, what now

I had this coral sold to me as a favia. I noticed about 2 weeks ago that the back that was being shadowed a little was receding but the rest was still really puffy. I moved the coral where it would get more light. I noticed yesterday it is receding a little again and actually has the brown jelly like at the bottom where it is receding. The rest is still puffing up and eating. Is this coral doomed. The water parameters are just about perfect. I have had this coral for about 6 months.
