Film on water ?

Just ths week I have a film on the right side of my tank, never had one in my tank. I threw some carbon in the sump just in case. I have a ton of circulation and a side over flow. Blows my mind how I could even have it when the water is pulled from the top. Any ideas guys ?

if its brown/yellow i'd say its a protein slick.....very easy to cure.....take a power head point it STRAIGHT at the top....let it work for 2 days....bodda bing its gone. i had the same thing a month or so ago on my 10g tank and thats what i was instructed to do by the people here and it disappeared....
