Weird pill-bug in tank

Hi all,

OK, this may sound weird, but I have what looks like a pill bug in my tank. It came on a piece of LR I brought home a couple days ago. It's gray like a pill bug, about the same size, with tiny circles along its shell, and sort of a near-transparent skirt around it's shell, along the bottom. I doesn't move fast, extremely slow actually. I was wondering if any of you guys know what it is. Let me know, thanks guys.

without a pic its kinda hard but I would say it could be an isopod, copepod, chiton, amphipod etc.

That's a pretty good description of a chiton.

Yup, Chiton...Actually, they (and pill bugs) are in the same class if I remember correctly, PolyPlacophora.

Nah. They be good. Some people pay money for them. Good luck trying to pry them off of anything. I had one in a container once and had to cut the container up and place the plastic it was glued to on the bottom of the tank. A few hours (and one inch) later it was back in the sand.
