Chilie Sponges/need Some Help
I have 2 chilie sponges that used to open all the time. They have not opened in a month or so and I am still feeding a drip line of DT's and golden pearls every other day. Water parameters are good. Any suggestions? Could low iodine level be causing the problem/as I change 20-25% permonth on water changes.

I had same problem, chili opened less and less over time to the point where I thought it was a goner. Recently I moved a powerhead in my tank to try to persuade an anemone to relocate and guess what? It just so happened to blow a current across chili and now it looks happier than ever, even staying open for a while after lights come on which it never did before. Try either moving coral into stronger current or placing powerhead to blow on it and see what happens, can't hurt! Also, I keep mine under ledge out of bright light, how about you?

Both of my chilie sponges are out of bright light. I will try directing some current their way and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.
