Will these fish coexsist??
I am about to buy one or 2 firs for my 33 gallon reef and I was thinking of getting mated pair of clowns (true percula) and either one or 2 regal tangs.
Is my 33 gallon too small for these? Will clowns attack tangs and vice versa? Will it be a problem if I add both clowns at the same time? Thanks for the help Last edited by cvrle1; 08-10-2001 at 04:17 PM. |

Hi cvrle1!
The clowns will be great additions, however a larger environment would be more suitable for the tang(s). Perhaps a royale gramma would add some nice color with the clowns.

Reefland: Thanks for the reply. One more question. Would you add 2 royla grammas or one and which fish would you put in first (clown or gramma)
Thanks |

Only one royal gramma unless it's a mated pair. If you put in two royals who are strangers, they may not decide to marry and one will end up dead.
Two percs will be fine and are easily mated. It really doesn't matter which ones you put in first. Maybe the gramma since it tends to be timid at first anyway. Give it a chance to make a home and feel comfy before adding the clowns.
