Mounting capnella frags

How would I mount it, I was thinking about sticking a toothpick through and then using rubber bands to hold it down. Can the toothpick be wooden, or does it have to be plastic? thanks

I have always just spread them over corse gravel, and let them attach themselves.

They usually attach within a week or so.

Then I superglue the shell fragement/hunk o gravel to whatever rock I want it attached too.

I've tried almost every method for attaching coral frags to rocks. I've tried the toothpick/rubber band method, but the toothpicks almost always cut their way out of the coral bodies and the corals float free.

I've used monofilament line sewn through the base of the coral and tied to the rock, and that works fairly well.

I've never gotten superglue to hold more than a couple of days.

I've had my best luck with rubber bands or latex hair bands (they are clear) using them to hold the frag into an indentation in the LR chunk. It works best when the band is placed in the "V" between two branches. If you put the band too tightly against the frag, it can cut through eventually.

Wow is that a capbella frag? I'm getting it free, and I really didn't know what it looked like. How sensitive are they? I only know they like medium lights, and current
