Do you get any long-term survivors? What do you do with the baby sea horses?

No video this time...
However I will be receiving an extension cable for my web cam shortly, hopefully in time for the next birth
)I place the babies in a nursery tank with a sponge filter, and lots of copepods and amphipods. Unfortunatley there were only a handful of viable young this time, as papa delivered 2 days early. In a 14 day gestation, 2 days is a lot. ![]() IF I'm lucky enough to rear any young, I'll sell/trade some of them, and keep some for broodstock. IF I get to that point, I'll look to trade with another hobbyist, to keep the bloodlines fresh. I'm not putting the cart before the seahorse....it's tough to get them to that point. 4 or 6 months at least, and the first few weeks are the toughest. Jenn |
