Question What is this thing?!

HI ALL! I am sure this is not bad, but would like to know. I saw it come out from under the LR to garb some mysis. It is about 5 inches long and about a 1/2 inch wide.
Thanks,
SHOG

It's a bristle worm. Their mouths are only designed to eat very soft, mushy foods(such as decaying animal matter). This goes for big ones as well as small ones. Very good things to have. They take the place of hermit crabs in a lot of situations.

There are maybe a dozen species of bristleworms that can be bad, but this is out of many, many thousands of species. The bad ones are pretty rare in aquaria.

If you don't want 'em, you can send them all to me!
