Xenia
I've been thinking a long time about this coral, and I'd like to get some in the near future,
What is the general current for the species? Also the anthia polyps that look like them, are they easier, do they grow as a fast? thanks |

Mikeman,
My white pom pom seems to prefer moderate current, while my elongata is much happier in higher current. I have seen both of these species grow under different conditions. But as is the case, more so with the later mentioned species, they seem to grow much more robust in higher current. As far as which is easier, anthelia or xenia, well both will take off in a properly running system at about the same rate. As usual, all is IMHO. Duncan.

Mikeman,
Duncan hit it on the head, I have also seen Xenia under all kinds of different conditions. They seem to like at least a moderate current and lots of light in my tank. Beware of where you place them as they can grow at an amazing pace. This frag: ![]() Now looks like ALL THESE small colonies in 71 days. Both pictures are of two different rocks that are the same as the single first picture, they have all spread naturally ![]() Scott |
