Do Corals still need vigerous current at night?
Looking for opinions on current in my tank.
Should the powerheads all be running at night as they do in the day? Should the current be toned down a bit? Or leave it full blast all the time? Right now, I have 2 maxi 1200's. They were on a wave strip, but I have been having problems with it. Right now one maxi is on all the time, and one is on a timer when the lights are on, 12hrs a day. Thanks All!

I would say the the ocean doesn't slow down at night so why should the water movement in your tank?
I don't use the day/night setting on my RedSea Wavemaker Pro. Full bore 24/7! FWIW, Nathan |

I keep the current in my tanks the same 24/7. The only time it changes is when one of the powerheads falls off the glass.
