need algae grazer
my tank is being overrun with grape calperpa i know that tangs will eat it but is there any other reef safe ,disease resistant, small , herbivore ? mainly would no like tangs because of their size and the fact that they are succeptable to disease.

I have the exact same problem....Im trying to cut down on my phosphates by adding those phosphate bags....this was suggested by a LFS that said that they were the cause of the bloom...hopefully that is the solution

well no i just don't use a skimmer i now that that would help but i would rather keep it natural (no flame intended) i've tested for phosphates, they are not the problem thanks anyway though.

The only thing I have that will eat grape caulerpa is my emerald green mithrax crab and it may be a special case. Sinec he isn't above nipping polyps I keep him in the sump where I grow grape calupera for export. He only gets to the show when I have a valonia outbreak. The upside is that he is trained to think of every little green ball as food.
