hold all the mh and pc ballast on the bottom and every thing else like chemicals, powders, and flakes, on the top. its like a locker unit that a highschool would have but it is sold at IKEA for 79 dollars...

im still waiting for a pfo extension cord so my other ballast can go inside also. it even locks with a key so no one messes with your fish stuff or moves it while cleaning and you cant find it then...
Nice, BTW, how did you put the lamp in the tank? ;)
nice.im thinking of building another cabinet to sit by my stand for the same things.there is NEVER enough space/room is there?locks are awesome too ,though thankfully im single and dont have kids:eek3: ,the nephews spend enough time over here that i leaned my lesson the hard way, kids throw things into water, any water, they LOVE water, and are facsinated by the sump/protien skimmer.
no kids either just two dogs that eat everything and a girlfriend that cleans or moves anything.
Are you sure it's a good idea to put a ballast(s) in a non-ventilated enclosed area like that? I hear they run pretty hot..

well all the enclosed ballast boxes are non ventillated. beside it has vent holes just like a locker would if you notice the slits on it.
