Capturing worms, bugs and others
Hi All
,Before I completely take down my 10G tank, all that is left now is the sandbed, I would like to try and collect/capture as much of the sandbed life as I can and transfer it into the new tank.I know that there are some bristleworms and sandbugs in there, and I actually noticed for the first time a small white starfish!! Are there any easy methods of doing this? Thanks, CaptK |

Why not transfer the sandbed and everything in it into the new tank. It'll be much easier than collecting the tiny critters

I cannot think of any reason to not just transfer the whole DSB to the new tank. You'll get all of the beneficial creatures, as well as the bacteria and minute pods you couldn't trap.

i use a brine shrimp net to sweep my refugium for pods and such to put in the main tank.i feel this keeps the pods reproducing at a faster rate.hth
