ROTFLMAO, you got to be kidding If your not then I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe invest 1.98 in one of those clips with the suction cup, or maybe you shouldn't, imagine the clip sticking out of his butt

Unhappy

I'm sorry SeaBuzz, but at times like this the most responsible thing to do is to put the fish down.

I would recommend the garlic butter, lemon juice and hot pan method. However, some people have reported success with the corn meal batter and deep fryer method. I would use which ever will put your fish out of it's misery fastest and most humanly.

Sorry about your loss,
Mark

I'd forget about the suggestions to dine on the Yellow Tang. I've found in the past that it takes 8-10 good sized Yellow Tangs to fill up the average dinner guest, and then only when stir-fried with lots of veggies.

Since the elastic band (my Latin teacher refused to say "rubber") has made it this far, I'd give him a day or two to finish the job himself. If it's still hanging there, I'd fish him out and try some gentle traction. Unless he (she) has a big colon polyp or someting, there should be nothing to get hung up on in the intestinal lumen.

Well look on the bright side. If it does get stuck there and he dies, that loop makes a cool way to hang him from your rear view mirror in your car.

My idea is to staple the rubberband to a wooden paddle and use it like one of those little kids toys (you know, the wooden paddle/rubberball toy)

That is so sad, but yet one of the funniest things ever! Glad it passed! Especially since I was invited to dinner, then again I really dont like when food is too rubbery or chewy!
