Post Mix salt in or out of tank?

I set up a 55 gallon today. I have about a 1-2" sandbed of aragamax sand. I am using an EcoSystem Sump on this tank and it is a fish-only setup. My question is should I mix salt into the water after the tank is already full, or mix it in before I add the water to the tank?
It will be harder to mix before I add it to the tank because I am using an RO/DI unit.

you could mix it in tank, if you had a very very strong current IMO

I mixed it in my tank when it had nothing but water and it left a filmy residue (probably calcium phosphate) and it even etched my glass hydrometer slightly. Get a rubbermaid trashcan, like 35 gal, and mix it in that.

just mix the rest out of the water you will have to do a littel ges work with this . if the tank it full and the salinity isnt corect fill a 5 gal bucet with tank water and add the salt as needed do this over and over till the salinity is corct but i would do this one or 2 time an hour to let the new salt full mix in the tank and then test have fun (i did the same thing)
