PH problem finally over !! About time !
After a year of having a chronic low PH of 8.10 or below it is over. During the year I tried dripping Kalk, adding Seachem Reef Buffer, Reef Builder....everything. My PH would be 8.05 - 8.10 during the day and 8.05 when the lights went out. In the morning it would be 7.85 like clockwork. My sump is lit 24 hours and no major help there. 2 weeks ago I got a Calcium Reactor from Myreef. I was scared to get a calcium reactor as people say the effluent drops the PH real bad. Well what it did was kick my alkalinity even higher and my calcium. Calcium was usually about 350-400 now it is 400-450. My alkalinity was normally about 3.5 to 4.0 now it is about 5.0 - 5.5 . All this fixed the PH, the ALK is a little higher than I thought it should be but whatever works right ? I think I already see some positive reactions in the hard corals but not positive just yet. This may not be for everyone but I am happy with my results so far.

It's a retarded thing for sure. Yours is too high and mine is too low.
