From earlier posts, I have decided to wait on purchasing an Angel for my newly established tank. I would like to try and find out info on a certain type though. Can any one tell me anything about the Black Spot Angel. I have seen a few around my LFS's, but can't really find any info on them as a breed. Are they a hardy fish. Are they a dwarf angel? My LFS tells me they are a great first angel. Please let me know anything you can. Thanks.

is this going to be a reef tank, as most angels don't do well in them, as they eat pick at the corals
as far as your question, I don't have any knowledge on that breed |

I don't know if this is the "Black Spot Angelfish" that you are thinking about or not: http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/Spec...e=nigriocellus
The thing that makes me think that maybe this is not the right one is the comment by fishbase that it is not in the aquarium trade. Anyway, if that's the fish you are interested in it's in the Centropyge genus of dwarf angels. Of course, the problem with common names is that sometimes more than one fish has the same common name.
