Can someone help me with my new coral?

What kind of coral is this? How much water flow does it like? Any tips? Thanks.

Hard to be 100% sure from the pic, but it appears to be a galaxia. They enjoy high flow and high light. Most important thing to remember about galaxia is they are able to produce VERY LONG sweepers which will sting and kill other corals. I have one that is only about 3" across, but can produce sweepers that are 6" long. This coral needs a lot of space to be kept; otherwise, put it near your overflow so the sweepers are pulled into the overflow and away from other corals. HTH

Heh, I was going to say Hynophora myself. Can you take a picture of it when the tissue is retracted so we can see the skeleton? That would definitely help...

Thanks. I'll keep all that in mind. That intake is actually about a foot away, it looks close cuz of i got up real close to take that pic.

You will be suprised on how long the tentacles extends.
