First of all:
20gal. long display tank 110w. PC; 35w. NO Alk. = 3.7meq/L pH = 8.3 Ca. = 425 - 450 Nitrate = 0 PO4 = .2ppm 10% - 15% water change/ 2 - 3 wks. I have had the coral about 2 mos. I bought it from a reputable and knowledgeable dealer, who told me the coral had suffered some tissue loss before he got it. For about 2wks. after I put it in the tank, it produced a good bit of mucous. I attributed this to its' acclimating to a slightly new enviroment (temp., light intensity, chem levels etc...). After two wks., the mucous went away, and all was well....... By the end of the first month, I noticed some small white spots. To make a lomg story short, the spots grew to about twice the size they were when I first noticed them. The spots appear to have a "fuzzy" texture. I think (hope) they have stopped spreading, and the rest of the coral looks fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Mike
