Finally, after a long hard month or better my tank is completly bubble free. I had the closed loop that took care of 1 pump's bubble problem. The other pump (sump) was taken care of by a re-work in the sump.
I would like to thank 2 people for this sucess. 1st to Golfish (Mark) who lead me in the closed loop direction. 2nd to Reefland (Scott) for the advice in the sump re-work. I am now running both pumps (ampmasters) wide open with no bubbles. I would guess I am turning around 3500-4000 gph total thru the whole tank (168g). I will be very honest, I was beginning to burn out bad. I have messed with the plumbing for some time and was getting extremly frustrated. The rest of my life was suffering due to the large amount of time I have spent so far on the tank. I still lack wiring the lights and the woodworking of the tank stand itself but thats managable and not pressing. I did also get all my LR in the tank. It fully cured last week. I did a partial w/c and let it sit another week. I also added a pc or 2 a day and finished adding it all this evening. I also begun aquascaping and will complete that as the water clears. Now if I can only get the siphon break hose to work I will be a happy camper. ------------------ ------------------------ Paul C Things should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler. Paul, so glad to hear your bubble problems are over. Even though it has been so much work, I am sure the whole fam. is going to enjoy the tank so much.
